2007
It's the fifth annual End of the World and witty comedian Christopher Titus knows it. By that I mean Comedy Central's Fifth Annual End of the World Tour which was hosted by Chris at the Brea Improv on September 26th, 2006, and has now found its way to a double-disc comedy album which hits store shelves this month on April 10th. This album has been dedicated to all of our troops around the world who do their jobs without question and with honor and dedication; if that isn't reason enough to buy yourself a copy maybe the 90+ minutes of hilarious Christopher Titus comedy will. Like many comedians do these days, politics and social issues are a staple in Titus' stand up act. While it's not a problem in my mind to bring politics into laughter, it does cross the line when the comedian takes a certain stand with one party. On the other hand for every political joke that comes up, there seems to be at least four or five non-partisan bits to counter it which is nice. In this hilarious double-disc when Titus isn't ranting about why the world is coming to an end, he's usually telling some outrageously funny stories on parenting and why he sucks as a parent. In my oh so humble online opinion, this is where Christopher really shines and it's these jokes that really make this album a must-have for any comedy fan. Lots of laughs to be had here folks, and overall a very solid comedy album from Comedy Central.
