Pirates of the Caribbean 2 Dead Man's Chest Review

If you had a chance to avoid eternal damnation, you'd do whatever it takes wouldn't you? Of course you would. If you also had a chance to take home the best DVD release ever for free, you would, right? I hope so! Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest has finally been unveiled in a special edition DVD release that will simply blow you away. Captain Jack Sparrow is back along with Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley in the long anticipated sequel and in a rare moment, the sequel is actually better than the original. While the feature film itself is reason enough to pick up this title, it's the extras that make this the best DVD ever released. Honestly, I'm not kidding.

The film itself runs at approximately two and a half hours, which is pretty long even by today's standards. The total runtime of the special features in this two-disc special edition comes to more than FIVE HOURS. You could honestly blow an entire day watching the feature film and the special features alone; is that sweet or what? Why can't every DVD follow this model? Oh that's right, that thing called business. Five freaking hours of not just the regular stuff like deleted scenes and bloopers, but rather in depth, behind the scenes footage at how the movie was made and beyond. A lot of DVD releases just throw filler footage on there that might total an hour or two, but as far as quality is concerned it's total crap and a waste of time to watch. What Disney has loaded onto the Dead Man's Chest Special Edition is simply phenomenal, and has officially raised the bar in the DVD world. Spectacular movie and an even better DVD. Pick this up right now, or snag a free review copy over in the CD forums! DVD of the year!
