Mystery Science Theater 3000 Volume 10 Review
Rhino (Television)
September 12th, 2006
Growing up as a kid in the nineties, "Mystery Science Theater 3000" was one of my favorite shows to watch. Thanks to my parentals however, we never had cable tv so the only time I was able to catch the show was when I was at a friend's house or over at my cousin's. Thanks to the wonderful man who invented the DVD, I can now watch every single episode whenever the hell I want, and I must say I'm pretty stoked. Never heard of Mystery Science Theater 3000 you say? Oh, and you also say you hate science fiction stuff? Don't worry, because while the topic of this show may be sci-fi flicks, it's a comedy at heart; and a damn good one, might I add. The basis of "MST3K" is that a man and his two robot sidekicks are trapped on a satellite in outer space, and they're forced to watch horrifically bad science fiction (and sometimes horror) films. What makes this show so hilarious is that while they watch these movies, they make hilarious jokes about how shitty the acting is and how outrageous the props and sets are. The humor is dry, but it's honestly a show that everyone will enjoy; regardless if you like/dislike sci-fi stuff.

Volume 10 of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" has just been unleashed upon the public, and it's nothing short of stellar. Included in the latest installment is "Godzilla vs Megalon", "Swamp Diamonds", "Teen-Age Strangler", "The Giant Spider Invasion", and a plethora of special features that will keep both the hardcore and casual MST3K fans happy. If you've never seen the show before, I feel confidant that you'll enjoy this boxed set if you like to laugh. If you have seen the show before and enjoyed it, this transaction is a no-brainer. Overall a fantastic DVD boxed set of one of the 1990's best, and underrated comedies.
