Jamie Kennedy's Blowin' Up Review
MTV, Paramount
Review Posted on January 10th, 2007
Jamie Kennedy wants to be a rapper. When he's not peeing next to random people on the side of highways in the middle of the night, he's practicing his rap skillz with buddy, pal, and sidekick Stu Stone. In "Blowin Up", a new series by MTV, Jamie and Stu try and reach their dream of becoming multi-million dollar rappers, but there's quite a few things standing in their way. First off, their rap lyrics need a little polishing, as rapping about cootie shots and how they hung out with Bob Saget really won't get a contract signed. Well then again this is just a television show, so you never know; hell I'd sign 'em if I had ridiculous amounts of money to blow.

"Blowin Up" didn't last too long, as this two disc DVD set only spans two discs and seven episodes, but it's still a worthwhile purchase simply because of the fact that it's got Jamie Kennedy's name on it. MTV also did everyone a favor by trowing in a ton of hilarious special features, including tons of audio commentary from Jamie, Stu, and the executive producer, podcasts, celebrity interviews, the priceless "Rollin' With Saget" music video, tons of deleted and extended scenes and much more. Overall "Jamie Kennedy's Blowin' Up" may not offer much (only 7 episodes), but it's still hilarious and worth the cheap price tag. If you're really broke, head over to the CD Forums because I'm giving away all our copies for free! Not a bad deal, eh der hoser? Pick this title up today!
