Over the last few decades, the city of Chicago has produced some outstanding rock bands that have taken the world by storm. If Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins came to mind, wait 'til you hear the awesome, up and coming band that call themselves 8 Per Second. With the pumpkinhead influence, 8 Per Second has flooded the Chicagoland area with incredible music that you can find directly below. The Interview!
1. How long have you guys been together?

3 years.

2. Who thought of the band name? Any meaning or influences behind it?

Spencer/Artie thought of it. It means the amount of times sonic waves traverse ones ear.

3. Who has been your biggest influence behind your band's music?

Smashing Pumpkins. (Raffman's fav band btw!)

4. Out of your currently released tracks, which is the biggest fan favorite?

Unrest featuring Steve Gillis (FILTER drummer) he plays drums on the
track and also produced it.

5. Have you performed outside of Chicago and the midwest much? If so where else?

Not really, although we did play in Ohio once.

6. What's the band's favorite venue to play at?

Double Door.

7. Have you performed at or near any universities?

Triton College and near UIC.

8. What's the greatest thing about being in a band?

Creating music with my friends.

9. Who get's all the ladies?

Lutty.

10. Where do you see 8 Per Second in 5 years?

Not sure.

11. If you guys could open for any band at any venue in the world, who and where would it be?

House of Blues for Smashing Pumpkins.

12. For the whole band, what would each of you be doing right now if you weren't in the band or a musician?

Not Sure we all have Day jobs right now; the band does not bring home the bacon :)
