Well I was close at least. While I just assumed those crazy gameshows were from overpoplated China, turns out they are actually from Japan. Thanks to all of you who sent in emails regarding this; I really appreciate it. Since I'm still on the topic of great television, I recently saw one of the funniest South Park episodes I've ever seen. To sum it up, a county or state fair comes to South Park and the boys purchase some authentic Ninja weapons from one of the booths. After the purchase the boys decide to use their imaginations and become ninja's, and everytime they start to play the show changes it's animation style from the usual mode to Japan-a-mation mode, while all the characters keep their same voices. Then you add the fact that Kenny accidentally throws a real ninja-star at Butter's eye and you have the mixture for one of the most delicious South Park episodes ever created. For those of you who have seen this episode, you know what I'm talking about. For those of you who haven't seen it, you're missing out. I haven't bought any of the seasons on DVD yet, but this gives me the perfect incentive to pick up Season 8 when it hits shelves. While I haven't seen many other episodes, it's by far the best one I've seen and even contends with the movie, which is not an easy thing to do.

No college student should be without a copy of South Park the Movie; no one. If you are in college and you don't own a copy, your roomate sure as hell better have one or you should ashamed of yourself. This movie ranks up there with the Hall of Famer's, like Tommy Boy, Happy Gilmore, and The Big Lebowski. In fact, it may be better than all three of those in my opinion. Oh how many nights have I come home from a night of Long Island's and Century Club's, still thirsty for more delicious entertainment and popped the South Park dvd in? I bet at some points of the semester I've averaged watching that movie close to once every day; that's how good it is. The classroom scene alone is reason enough to watch it once a day: "Cartman! Did you just say the 'F' word!?" "What, 'Jew'?" Then on top of that you throw in Gregory, the prissy choir boy from Yardale who has the 4.0 grade point average, one of the funniest, most-creative supporting characters in "The Mole", and a musical score that actually was nominated for an Academy Award and you end up with the funniest movie on the planet. The only thing this movie is missing is my personal favorite character: Timmy. And Jimmy. And a cripple fight.

So I enjoy stupid humor, what's wrong with that? On the other hand, I really can't stand annoying humor, like Wanda Sykes. Maybe it's her voice, or maybe her repetitive jokes. No, you know what, it's her annoying voice. Why credible institutions like Comedy Central still insist on giving her shows boggles my mind. Or why she actually was named as one of Entertainment Weekly's 25 funniest people in America. For those of you who do enjoy Wanda's humor, I'd love to hear from ya. Let me know in the forums, or just email me directly and I'll plug ya in my next article. No, this isn't a science project. I'm just interested to see if anyone actually likes this lady, or if Comedy Central just owed her a favor or something and gave her a new show. If you're with me on the Wanda Sucks side, I want to hear from you as well.

This week expect lots of new content, ranging from the long-awaited unveilings of many new sections such as the Book reviews and the Random Ass reviews; with the latter of the two I'm sure all of you will love. In our Random Ass review section, you'll be reading hysterical reviews of all the latest cereals, the letter "J", and oh so much more that I'm not allowed to talk about. This new section may very-well be the coolest thing on the Internet; it truly is creativity at its finest and is a tribute to the awesome staff of writers that we have featured here at College Downtime. Our goal is to bring you the most-entertaining experience you can find on the Internet, whether or not you're browsing inbetween classes or you've been surfing all day. The only way we can maximize your experience is through your feedback, so let us know how we're doing and what you'd like to see in the future in our forums! Lastly, a Team America review will be up as soon as this delicious movie hits theatres this week; we're foaming at the mouth to see it, and we'll let you know how it is! A movie that makes fun of Kim Jong II just has to be fuckin good, doesn't it?
